How does it work?

The typing speed test measures your ability to type quickly and accurately:

  1. Click the "Start test" button
  2. The text to type will appear above the input field
  3. Start typing the text in the field as fast and as accurately as possible
  4. The test will finish automatically after entering all the text
  5. Get results: speed (WPM), accuracy and time

What is WPM?

WPM (Words Per Minute) is the standard typing speed metric. One "word" is counted as 5 characters, including spaces and punctuation.

How to improve typing speed?

  • Practice regularly (10-15 minutes a day)
  • Use the correct finger position
  • Try not to look at the keyboard
  • Start slowly, focusing on accuracy
  • Use online touch typing trainers
